Default One thing that KILLS me about this game

Is that as the Captain, I have to run around the boat giving face to face orders to my different officers. This is crazy. I know DarkWraith has a mod that gives shortcuts to officers on the bottom of the screen...but for the life of me I can't get his mods to work. I put them in the MODS folder...activate them with JSGME...and they just don't show up.

The Dark Wraith's Mods

Dear Kapitan, Create a new folder called 'The Dark Wraith Mods' in 'My Documents'. Unzip the Dark Wraith's mods into it. Then you will see that there is a 'mods' folder already in it.Open this up and you will be able to copy and paste all/or any of these components into the folder 'Mods' which was created by Jonesoft Generic Modder in SH5 directory. I was confused at first by the included directions, but if you unzip the Dark wraith's mod to an isolated place separate from SH5 directory then it is easy to choose which mods to install. You just copy and paste into C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SH5\mods or wherever you have it installed! But please remember to install 'NewUI's_TDC_4_0_3_ByTheDarkWraith' first as it is the primary mod! Hope I haven't confused you and good hunting as it is a great mod!

Cheers, Grant

When you are done copying TDW's Multiple UIs mod, don't activate it yet.

Read the first page of his mod very carefully. It says: All user configurable settings can be found in the file MODS -> NewUIs_TDC_4_0_3_TheDarkWraith -> data -> Scripts -> Menu -> TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py

This is the file you need to configure to activate the features you love or disable the ones you hate. Be sure to read the documentation that comes with the mod as well, because there's a lot of settings to configure, and it tends to get a bit confusing after a while...

After having correctly configured the .py file, you can activate the mod using JSGME.

- Good luck!

Sweet! I got it to work following your advice...but I STILL can't issue an order to preheat the torps, or activate propaganda without running around the sub?! Is there a way to do it that I haven't found yet using this mod?

I haven't used them in a while but you may be able to do some of these things with keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys (F keys).

If you like you can also look around here and you'll find instructions on how to edit your cfg file to make your own hotkeys.
