Default No Ships shown on ERM

Greetings, just wondering do the ships only show up on the Enhanced recognition manual when only manual targetting is selected or should they also show up with automatic targetting when the ship is locked? I don't see any ship pictures in the manual.

you dont need to indentfy with auto. but heres a way for your XO to automatically indentify ships for you in manual targeting.

Go to the main SH5 directory.
Then go to the data folder then the Cfg folder.
look for a file called commands.cfg and open it with notepad

Search for the words [cmd343]
you will see this

[Cmd343]
Name=WP_Identify_target
Contexts=1
MnID=0x3F130002
StringID=1073
HasDelayedExecution=Yes

add this at the bottom

Key0=0x49,s,"Shift+I"

now it will look like this...

[Cmd343]
Name=WP_Identify_target
Contexts=1
MnID=0x3F130002
StringID=1073
HasDelayedExecution=Yes
Key0=0x49,s,"Shift+I"

save the file and launch the game.
now when you want to identify a target just lock it, turn on the tdc then hit Shift+i
The WO will identify the ship for you.

Yes Ships only show up in the Rec Man if you enable Manual Targeting.
You don't need to know what type ship in Auto as its just align the numbers and shoot.

If you lock onto the ship and ask the XO to switch to manual targeting, you can then see the ship data in the ERM.
After that ask XO to switch off manaul target and then you can match the dots for firing.
