Default Goodbye SH5...Back to SH3 + Mod

Hi All
I played SH5 for week now. At my last patrol I was attacked by two escorts. I ordered a crash dive and thought.... mmh lets look outside to have a bit of Das Boot, Hollywood atmosphare . I saw my uboot diving into large floating rocks. It dived straight through. The ocean was full of large floating rocks!?!? Actually that did it for me, plus all other bugs and design flaws i did put up with over the week. I cant play rubbish like that anymore. So back to SH3 + GWX Gold + SH Commander and what a dream simulation!!!!!!

Right.. I'm also keeping SH5 at my PC only for mod testing feature. I will not even try to play the campaign and see all these bugs appearing cuz I know it will get on my nerves very quickly, so I'm just hanging out waiting for patches, following news on mods, waiting for something big to follow, giving a hope a feed ya know

What?! You mean rocks don't float in real life?

SH4 also had those soft jello rocks you could drive though.

On a serious note, if you had seen the film Avatar you would know that big rocks do actually float. (based on a true story)

Some bugs can be funny, as long as they are fixed quickly.

Remember some game update in SWG when all the asteroids from the space sectors where hovering a few meters above ground on the planets. The 0.0 bug was also something you talk about with a love/hate memory, it took you to the center of the map, before speeders/mounts so that could mean a long long run back to where you was. If unlucky there was a spawn of nasties at 0.0 too

The next patch will be very important for Silent Hunter 5.

bye have fun on the dated graphics, they where once good.. sh3 lays in my used box now.

i am a firm believer of moving onward and upward...sh5 has the potential.

shaping up nicely with a lot of these mods.

I´ve played SH3 for 5 years but now it´s time to move on.
You can´t compare a full modded SH3 with a stock SH5.
Play stock SH3 for a week then tell me how good it is .

I hear H.A.W.X. has better graphics than Il-2 Sturmovik, so that makes it a better flight sim right? Thief 3 had better graphics that 1 and 2 so that made it better? Deus Ex 2 looked better than Deus Ex, so was better? Bioshock looked better than System Shock 2 so was better?

Funny, wouldn't have thought that sub simmers were graphic whores.

The graphics in SH3 are not to bad, well yes SH5 is far superior in that respect. But good graphics dont make necessarily a good game. And at the moment SH3 + Mods is ahead of SH5. SH5 has alot of potential and hopefully it will be patched up by UBI soon. And then yes it is time to move on...Maybe Ubisoft got mixed up between Avatar(Ubisoft game) and SH5 that can explain the floating rocks
