stupid question

I reinstalled SH3 via Steam, and tried to reinstall GWX over it and it doesn't work because some directory, somewhere, already has mod files. What particular directory do I need to delete for the GWX to go through?

I think I have already asked this question at some point, and sorry if this is a repeat.

I don't use Steam myself.
