Anotherway is to go to your local store that sells games, (Best Buy, Gamestop) and buy SH4 GOLD with UBM.

1.5 is not a patch? So its an expansion pack?
does it have any advantages over 1.4, like bug fixes or anything?

It's both a patch and expansion. So yes it does solve some things from 1.4, I would recommend getting it if you haven't already.
