There is too much going on in that video in my opinion. Although it definitely looks good for a mod.

It is the first game I have ever played that feels even close to the war scenes in T2.. VERY impressive tech demo.
A few things I dont like tho mainly that the guns are acting a bit too much like real guns. In T2 the guns dont seem to have half the recoil of normal guns and a man is able to point straight down and fire into a half dead robot with very little recoil. Also the sound is meant to be a "Spleeeeeeet" For resistance rifles and "SPLLLLLATTTTC" For The Cannons of Skynet. Just pointing out something I will be watching for closely if they go into beta with something more. BTW if you are thinking of trying the demo. Be VERY aware that it eats your GPU for breakfast. I think it is because it is set to max for testing purposes but my GPUs memory gets eaten up like there is no tommorow and 800 by 600 is about the only way for me to play at decent framerates. That wont be perm tho. |
