Default Technical problem?

I run a PC on a Mac, using "Boot Camp". I have read that the copyright protection might interfer with this a cause problems - is this the case? I have had a few problems with my Mac at a similar time at installing the game, but I don't know if this is related.

Any help?

I too run SHIV 1.5 (UBoat missions) on an iMac via Boot Camp. I have been playing for a couple of years, extensively, with no real problems. There are some graphic limitations due to an inefficient graphics card. But, as long as you have at least 2GBs of RAM, you're fine. A tip, allocate plenty of room (>50GB) for SHIV, alone. With mods, music, Screenshots, etc, you'll want/need it...

Oh, you will find some keyboard limitations, as well. At least I haven't found a work-around for them (and they may be unique to me). The manual up and down for the scopes only work for down. And, I can't use the pc keyboard work-around to drop the HUD out of the way to man the AA pea-shooters. But, as you shouldn't be putting your boat in a position to get shot at by planes in the first place, it hasn't been a big deal..

thanks for that, the 2 gb ram might be the problem as i have other games on the same rig at different times , fallout 3, l4d1 and 2 etc Empire TW ... which were ok. I shall investigate further.

May well be the problem.
My Mac struggled at times to run SH4 properly when I had only 2 gig.
When I added more, is no problem. Runs like a dream.

While Macs have their uses, gaming is not one of them.

Reminds me of this. (May be slightly NSFW.)
