Default Poul-sound: The Soviet Crew

This project for curious people and it is simple for "the World Collection" Silent Hunter.

* * * *«THE SOVIET GREW»* * * *

* * * * * * ALL SOUNDS * * * * * *

This sound mod - the maximum and full sound atmosphere in the Soviet submarine (as software SH III has allowed). Absolutely new, original sound design (almost...)

This sound project has been made because has been created mod: «Âåëèêàÿ Âîéíà: Áèòâà çà Áàëòèêó» («Great War: Battle for Baltic» for SH IV). The author of project DAGON, which was helped by group of developers. In the this mod: player will be at war on the Soviet submarines of various types against Germany. DAGON has asked me to make "Russian sound" for this project.

For admirers SH III (I also prefer this project) - has been made mod «Poul-sound: The Soviet Crew for SH III»

In this submarine war you will be surrounded the Soviet seamen-submariners. Your fighting crew. Round you there will be sounds and «mechanical» space of the Soviet submarine. That you have completely felt «Effect of Presence» at the Soviet submarine:

The submarine crew communicates, speaks and swears in Russian, certainly.
All vocal commands and orders of log officers ChE, WaO, NaO, SoM, RaM accompany corresponding sounds of mechanisms, engines hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and also external sounds round a submarine.

I have tried, as it is possible more precisely and more really, to transfer sound space in the Soviet submarine. All is made according to sources:

- «ÊÎÐÀÁÅËÜÍÛÉ ÓÑÒÀ ÂÌÔ ÑÑÑл («The SHIP CHARTER of the Navy of the USSR»).

- «ÊÎÌÀÍÄÍÛÅ ÑËÎÂÀ» (The appendix to the Ship Charter of the Navy of the USSR «Command words»)

- «The TABLE of SOUND SIGNALS» (from that ship charter).

And also real sounds of the Soviet submarine which accompany all basic maneuvers and actions of crew of a submarine. I will not list them. Because it practically everything that sounds in SH IV (sounds and is accompanied by vocal commands).

On a pier: the wind band will play a march "Ïðîùàíèå Ñëàâÿíêè" ("Ffarewell of Slav"). It is a symbol. Interestingly: In imperial Russian army of the Russian Tsar - this music has been forbidden. However this music - is the most important for military people. Two centuries already (I too served in the military forces and had these sounds in solemn occasions).

If you download addition to it a mod - «The_Soviet_Crew_for_SH_III_Grammofone», then:

Having included a gramophone you will hear a typical radio-aether of the Soviet radio of those years. Fragments from Stalin's speeches, and also speeches of heads of Communist party - Klima Voroshilov, Michael Kalinin, Molotov. Music and songs which were very popular in Soviet Union during that epoch (unique ancient records). Call signs of the Soviet radio and the legendary announcer - Levitan.

I hope what is will be interesting. For few guys, certainly.

O! Certainly! I agree. It is the Great Song! There is one more song. It very popular two centuries already: "Proud "The Varangian" does not capitulate to the enemy!". It is history about seamen of Russian cruiser "The Varangian". They (in 1904) did not capitulate to the Japanese battleships. Have flooded a cruiser. They shot on the enemy while the cruiser had flooding. Even when water was on a main deck. All of them have sunk together with a cruiser.

This song has very much an interesting story. This Russian song was created by German people!!! In Germany in 1904. Have created both music and words. When they have learnt about this feat. At first this song sang in Germany!!! Only already then (in some years) this song have translated into Russian. A song began to sing in Russia. Surprisingly! It popular till now.

But:

The mod "Soviet crew" for SH III is only a sound. For curious people who love SH III (I too).

Full game for the Soviet submarines - "The Battle for the Baltic" to be here:

This game for platform SH IV.

misfitdreamer,

Thanks. OK. This mod already is. I have made it one year ago, approximately. It is named - "Red Baltic 1941".

War of German submarines against the USSR. The base remains in port Kiel. On Baltic sea. June, 1941 - January, 1942. These are very dynamical battles near to Moodzund archipelago, In gulf of Riga and gulf of Finland. Submarines of class II-A and II-D.

I did not begin to prolong these battles till 1945. Because after January, 1942 all the Finnish Gulf was closed mines. The German and Soviet miners. Also Germans have partitioned off its anti-submarines of nets. After that German submarines very seldom went to these areas. But the Soviet submarines all time tried to cross gulf of Finland and to make the way to the western Baltic sea. They perished in the zones of mined, more often.

Program SH III does not give the chance to make that. (For another submarines. Except U-Boot of German ) .
There actions are possible only on of German submarines. But in project SH IV it is possible. War of the Soviet submarines against Germany here:

It was pleasant to read your opinion. I am glad that your collection became even more!

I have added the alternative link for a grammofone: "The_Soviet_Crew_for_SH_III_Grammofone_Ful". Because some guys could not load it using the old link. See a post 1.
