Default The LWAMI 3.10 mission thread

You know what the problem with new mods is? No missions showcasing what they offer. Here is one:

Libyan Threat

Honestly I kinda just tossed this thing together, but it helps show off a few things new in LWAMI 3.10.


Let me know what you think while I try and put some more together.

I'm working on one in the Gulf. The Boston Whaler makes an appearance. Unfortunately I'm having trouble with specops boats, it took forever to get me to be able to remove one without it actually boarding a target, and once I did it caused a crash! Apparently once it detects anything it is so single minded that keeping it from killing it has the same effect of proving God wrong in Dogma.

IIRC TimmyG00 once tried to put the SpecOps boat in a mission to simulate VBSS operations but decided to simulate it with chat box messages instead since it proved too difficult to get the boat to operate correctly in a dynamic situation.

Maybe we need a verson of the Spec Ops RHIB as a normal boat in the next LWAMI?

Brilliant! Yes, I think we'll need to do that, it's the CSeals doctrine that's causing the issue as far as I can tell.

In the meantime I think I'm just going to try removing the VBSS target instead of removing the RHIB. Or just take Timmah's approach and do it by text.

There are actually two semi-simultaneous boardings going on. One (the "Mavara" boarding) is non-compliant, close aboard, and done by tex. The other, the "Cornwall" boarding, was meant to be done 10 miles out or so and would be nice to have a RHIB out for... but not essential.

NUCFLASH

A North Korean submarine is on its way to the Gulf of Inchon with a nuclear device. A US 688(i) class must stop it.


This is a long (about 7-8 hour game time) mission, and very open ended as far as tactics go. You know the enemy's start point and their destination, its up to you to determine the rest.
