Wolf Pack

I have read and heard alot about the U-boat armada assembled by the Kriegsmarine during WW2 and the word "Wolf Pack", a term reffering to a fleet (pack) of U-Boats, kept coming up.

Now, this made me wonder weather, not if it is possible to join a wolf pack in career, but weather if it is possible to find and follow another German U-Boat in career?

"Curious to know..."

There are AI boats out there but they stay surfaced, I ran into a Type IX in a convoy attack but there is also a wolfpack mod out there but I don't know how well it works (it crashed to desktop, but I had 22 other mods installed) but if I find it again I will post the link

well from what I understood the first time I Tried to use it was that it is a mission, but it also has to be activated in JSGME. It clashed with some important mods I have like New interiors so I did not use it. I can try and figure it out for you when I get off work, I work a half day today so if you don't have it working by lunch I can take a stab at it.

Good luck

wow that was quick... I was expecting a 1 to 24 hour wait...

Anyway, from what you have just said is this mod only for single mission or is it also for career ?

oh and thanks for the quick reply...

It seems to be for missions, though if you made some nice big missions I think it could still be good. Apperently they fire torpedoes in that mod but ill believe it when i see it. but anyway I have to get going

Ok I just read the read me and it seams fairly simple, enable with JSGME and look for the new mission it adds so you can test it to see if it works. I will PM the creator and see if there are any other steps

I ran into a convoy coming into the western approaches that had some nice targets I wanted to put to the bottom. Low on torpedoes, I decided I would get into position and pick off the biggest boats first. I did a large loop end round on the surface at night to get well in front of the convoy as well as staying well out of detection range of their escorts.

Parked myself, submerged, right in their path and waited for them to catch up to. My plan was to see what side of the convoy was the least protected and maneuver off their track to that side, submerged at night would make it harder for the destroyers to spot me.

Things were coming together nicely when all of a sudden one of the tankers I had my eye on exploded right in front of my eyes!

All the escorts took off in another direction, so I went the opposite way and fired all the bow and stern torpedoes I had into the convoy, went deep and silent and the destroyers were too busy chasing what I assume was another, AI controlled sub who got the first shots off.

wow they did good, the one I seen must have been a captain bernard as he was running strait into a convoy at flank speed

I think I win. In GWX, i found an IXB doing convoy escort in 1941. I sunk it, and of course it was Germany's vessel shooting at me first... It hit me twice before I realized what was going on.
