Default British Subs

I sank my first British sub today about 3:15 AM.(did not know they were in the game nice surprise) I was passing through between Shetland Mainland and Orkney Mainland. Do you think Ill get credit for it? It went right down to the bottom, hit hard and stayed there.
Sometimes It doesn't look like they hit the sea floor, maybe 20 feet to go and the sound starts playing and sand or what ever it is that it stris up comes up around the hull, but still looks like its got 20 feet to go. Is this a bug in the game? Thanks for any help, reply. Indy

Both known issues. You never hit the visible sea floor, you're always like 10-20m off it. A graphical thing.

Also, you sometimes don't get credit for killing enemy subs. You're supposed to be sinking merchants anyway, so no worries.

Im looking forwatd to that U-class sub becoming playable. I have no doubt it will happen one way or another.
A british Sub campaign is long overdue.

Where do these generally appear?

Such as year, area, etc?

I actually found one once while patrolling the North Sea, but when I dove to Periscope Depth I experienced a CTD

Cheers,

Krauter

I've seen one north of england in 1940, and one in the med in may 1941.

I sank that one when it was at periscope depth, torpedo right into the conning tower followed his periscopes with my periscopes. First one went over his boat, set it deeper and the second one hit.

I saw 2 british subs travelling on surface together, then i started firing my deck gun at them and they dived quick, so i dived and looked for them underwater with the periscope, shame you cant fire torpedoes underwater below periscope depth..

Seen lots of them in the Mediterranean, around Malta.
Din't find any Pedistal convoys though.

Sounds about right, many U-class subs operated out of malta, they quickly put a strangle hold on supplies for Rommels Africa corps
