I'm in TMO,
1. I'd like to have the in game ambient music back. I mean, if it's a problem, one can always turn the music volume down, or off. 2. Airplanes, when they are visible I lose their bearing. All I need is a blip, or a line like on sonar so when I man the gun myself I'm ready and on bearing. My sub takes a while to crash dive, that's why. I ask for the file names or stuff I have to change to get this back. Someone! I have and know how to use SD3 now. ![]()

A) 2. I'm not sure about editing a game file to achieve this. If you hit 'Report nearest visual contact' from the watch commands, they will report bearing on an aircraft if that is the nearest contact. |

I'm not 100% sure on this so backup the files so you can change it back if needed. But Open each aircrafts folder under DATA/AIR and replace the file that ends in (Aircraft_Name)shp.dds. As long as your not playing with the map contacts off option it should put the little airplane symbol back on the map. the Same works for Ships in the DATA/SEA Ships name folder.
You will probably need a stock install to grab the files from and you will have to add the file for the non-stock ships, its a long process so i would create a test mission to make sure it works before doing all the aircraft. Its a PITA, but i like having contacts and i'm currently doing this in Operation Monsun.

Thanks for pointing me in the right dirrection. I found that in ...SH4install\Mods\TriggerMaru_Overhaul_19\Data\So und\Music directory there was only the intro music and the menu loop. Fixed it, now I'll be turning the music down a lot while in a tense situation! ![]() Turn it up when it gets boring though. ![]()

What about the Radio for that fun tense music or Phonograph for some nice 40's era music?

Damn, I can't get the ambient music to run in TMO 1.9 this time after installing. Any idea? If I get it working I'll make a patch so everyone can get it if they want.
EDIT: Never mind, somehow I made it work again. Go figure... ![]()
