Unabandon career?

I was trying some new mods and loading, reloading the game and got into a hurry and clicked abandon career. Not a biggie but I would like to just revert to the previous save. Commander will only allow me to change from abandoned to surrendered. I have looked in the save file of the carrer and see the recent saves but if I delete the files then the career itself becomes lost.

I feel like I am doing open heart surgery without a manual here for something so trivial. Is there any way to bring back the 'dead' on this?

Load up a different career through SH3 Commander or load direct to SH3 without using Commnader.
Once you get into the 'Load Career' screen choose the career you want to resurrect.
On the next screen, choose the savegame before you surrendered - this should load up the savegame you're after.

If you want full SH3 Commander options then exit SH3 and reload as normal.
