Brand new to SH5

I am currently enjoying playing SH3+GWX3. But, I have SH5 with the latest 1.2 patch installed (no mods). I've just started to get my feet wet with SH5 and am going through the first tutorial missions. I sank the ships and have moved on to navigating back to Kiel. So far, so good. However, I do have one problem: unlike most others, I do not have a time compression menu item on the upper-right-hand side of my screen. I can change the time compression, but I have no graphical display with the vital information.

Any similar problem or solution?

Thank you in advance!

Someone posted on this earlier, can't remember who off the top of my head. The soluton was that when you are told to plot a course to Kiel, you have to put the waypoints all the way in and almost on top of the port in order for the UI to unlock.

I had only plotted up to the mouth of the harbor. I will give your solution a try.

Thanks!
