Well, Stewart has always been more than a little biased. The Exxon story gets me, though. Why do they pay no US taxes, but so much to other countries? And do their workers, including the managers, pay taxes here? There's more to the picture that he's showing. But of course he's going for the punchline, not the whole truth.

But that's true of pretty much everyone in television, because the viewers don't really care about the truth, they just care about being entertained.

At least thats what they believe. Personally I am witnessing a growing number of pepole starting for the truth.

To answer your questions yes the employees pay US taxes if they are US citizens. In fact there probably part of that top 10% that pays 80% of all taxes.

US Corporate tax rates are incredibly high, so they do everything possible to avoid them.

Far better would be low corporate taxes with no loopholes, and high collection rates.

Better to tax them evil corporations til they go someplace else, though.
