[REQ] Adjustable Dive Planes

One thing I think is really missing in this game is the ability to adjust your dive planes manually during game play. It takes so much away from the game by not having that ability. Would any modder know how to do this? Or has it already been looked into and deemed impossible.

Just a thought.

I gotta say this is one of the things that I miss from the SH2 mods. Although from my observations of how the game works, it doesn't use the planes for depth control at all. They're merely there for looks. I've ordered depth changes and watched the planes each time and each time they go to a set position and stay there until at ordered depth. If this behavior were translated to how they should work you would see an increase in the ships dive angle and the rate of ascent/descent.

I thank you for your input. Your answer makes sense and is also what I had feared. It would have been neat if they even mimic-ed the behavior even if they operate on different systems 1 visual and 1 functional.

I only want full dive plane controls due to the fact that I'm a deep diving junkie !
