Hi Guys
Another one, might be another simple solution but I started a career in Brest with 1st flotilla and I went through into the med and docked at Salamis, now I know I could transfer at brest to salamis after a couple of patrols but then you get teleported to salamis without the challenge of passing through the straits of gibralta, is there any way of changing flotillas at another base other than your home base ? Cheers |

I may be wrong, but IIRC once you are at your new port (Salamis), you do the transfer thing in the captain's office to your new flotilla.
I ssem to recall a thread a while back addressing this. ![]()

I also expirienced the "insta" transfer. Just hit the Button in your Office and you are at the new location (Then Phone on the Captains Desk is the secret location

You usually have to be at a Flotilla for 6 months or 3 patrols IIRC before your allowed to transfer.

After making the journey from wilhelmshaven to french/british waters many times, the base at lorient opened up and I just happend to be around there and headed back so I just pulled into port and docked.
Everytime I leave for a patrol it says based has been changed to Wilhelmshaven but in logs/reports it says I start/leave from lorient, and it's my current home base so until second flotilla changes to france I will continue returning here |

Yeah its just the instant transport from Lorient to Salamis thats annoying I got no problem docking at Lorient when I'm bassed at Wilhelmshaven as you don't have to transport there as the 2nd flotilla eventually relocates to lorient anyway so by the looks of it the only way to have a career in the med is to start one in the med, transfer from a base in france or germany and teleport to salimis or la spezia or go through the straits and just use salamis or la spezia as a non home port and go without upgrades and the captains desk.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before you do anything, make sure you are able to transfer to a Mediterranean port by checking the telephone in your home base to see what's available - you don't want to risk the Straights if it isn't available. If it is available, transit the Straights ( ![]() If the option given is "Return to base", choose it, and you'll be teleported to your own home base. You can then use the telephone to transfer back to the Med., and be teleported -yet again- to exactly the same office... but in the Med at your new home base. If the option given is "dock at XXXXXXX", then you are too close to the port. If you dock, transfers will not be available to you, so sail further away until you get the "Return to base" option. That's about the least un-immersive way I can think of managing it.
