In the stock game there are a few planes that will attack. I believe it's 4 or 5 out of the 33 planes in game. Plus there's only a small amount of airbases that can spawn those planes.

In October, 1941, I was intentionally attacked by a Sunderland about 327 km due west of Brest (if memory serves...and it may not...I'm old, so I have an excuse). Dieter said, at the time, "NO! I WON'T, 'man the flak guns'!," but we got the, "low and slow" anyway...
