Default The step to change gun from BB. What am I doing wrong?

Hi captain, I'll be straight as possible and try to make myself as clearest as possible.

I am trying swap/add gun from AI BB.

Let's begin with swapping guns.
I'll list my actions in order so you can find my error.

For example, I want to swap the super yamato dual 510mm to triple 460mm.
I have downloaded the super_yamato mod from yamato forever and it rocks to most of my criteria . Except the main armament that bothers me.
Anyways....

I checked in the data/sea/NBB_Super Yamato/ NBB_Super Yamato.dat files.

I checked the chunk for the main guns. Locating the gun emplacement isn't the problem.
As soon as I explore that chunk, it is written "cfg#M02_NBB_SuperYamato".
I believe it refers to the Super_yamato.eqp. As I opened that files with my notepad, there is indeed a list of equipment.

With a scroll down, I manage to find the main gun equipment.

I modify the following data

[Equipment 5]
NodeName=S02
LinkName=20in_dual_base_Jp
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19451231

to

[Equipment 5]
NodeName=S02
LinkName=18in_Triple_base_Jp
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19451231

Right after, I save the the files and enable it.
I launched the game to see if anychange has been made. Unfortunately, my hope just fall apart. However, I won't let myself down too much as I keep trying to understand how it works .

Then I thought it could be a missing gun model from the guns.dat/guns_radar.dat in the library.
As I look through the files, my problem can"t be caused by a missing files, because there happens to have my triple 460mm.

I don"t understand this..
If the Nbb_super yamato.dat has chunks that are directly related to the equipment files, why can't it be done like that?
To make sure I am not wrong, I checked the .sim and .zon files. I can't make a relation about the gun type, as they describe the obj_turret or the zone control.

Anyone got an idea about my mistake.
