Default CVN 86 Carrier Class

Hey group this is no s&!t. Behind closed doors congress just approved a new class of aircraft carriers named after notable government progresive law makers who heroicly dragged the US Navy kicking and screaming into crew configurations that more resembles the population of amerika, Star trek series sequels or college degreed restaraunt employees working in the same job they got after graduating high school.
first of the class will be CVN-86 Patsy Schroeder.
Others in this class shall be the Loretta Sanchez, Barbra Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Theresa Heinz, and Nancy Pelosi.

The next carrier is CVN 78 the USS Gerald R. Ford. CVN 78 and CVN 80 have not been named yet let alone CVN 86.

CVN 78 might be named USS Barry M. Goldwater but the NAVY has not yet decided.

Nooooooo, not the USS Gerald R. Ford. It'll run aground or hit bridges in no time.

Default Triad of Failure Here ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_...rcraft_carrier

I will do this David Lettermen Style.

Top 3 reasons that the Gerald R Ford CVN Class is the triad of failure.

Number 3:
A vast majority of Americans remember Chevy Chase portraying ole number 38 on Saturday Night Live and do not believe this was an inaccurate presentation of his "amazing skills".

Number 2:
The Island is perilously close to the round down (at the stern) where bad things happen to naval aircraft.
The Ship Captain, airboss, Cag. and admiral have spaces in the island also.

And Number 1:

Number 1:
It will be built by Northrop, Grumman. The same company contracted by the United States Department of Agriculture to manage the travel of US Forest Service Firefighters to travel to wildland fire incidents.

Gerald Ford was a good man and in retrospect, would have been much better than that bleeding heart wimp Jimmy Carter.Hopefully they will not name one for Carter or Clinton.Sadly, some poor sailor may end up on the USS Barack Obama one day The USS Barry Goldwater sounds great

The USS Jimmy Carter already exists. Its SSN23 - a modified Seawolf class. It was the third and final of the class, modified to be longer (plug inserted aft of the sail) and is used primarily for special operations. The plug was put in to allow for additional stowage and berthing for the teams assigned, as well as launching and docking of ROV's as well as better egress and return for the teams.

Probably best if the Clinton is built, it avoid any cigar shaped hulls like SSN's. Of course on the other hand, one could say any enemy vessels encountered would almost certainly be screwed in secret with plausable denials at the ready.

True, but you don't have to be a President to have a carrier named after you.
