Hi, I would like to know how to replace a propeller from a submarine with one custom made (possibly an add-on) using S3D. I'm quite new to model editing so you could qualifiy me as a total n00b. I'm pretty confused right now with raw chunks and nodes.
Any help is welcome. Thank you! EDIT: I now want to swap my 3_50 Standard deck gun with a german 105mm one. I would also like to test the swapping of conning towers between sub models. I know that I have to move the conning slot on the sub model but I dont know how to swap the tower. eg: I want to put a balao conning tower on a s-18 sub. I previewed the result in S3D. In order to fit nice, I have to put it where the Deck gun is, so I remove the deck gun slot. I still dont know how to do and WHAT to do next. Thanks for the help. Propeller Replacement
I think what you might be able to do is load another ship or submarine in S3D, that has the propeller you want, select the propeller and export the 3d image to and object file which will also allow you to export the mtl file needed for the object. Then, open the submarine file that you want to modify and select the propeller and under 3d Image import the object file that you exported from your source sub/ship. That worked for me when I put 40mm barrels on a twin 20mm AA gun.
I hope that helps ![]() |
