Default Just bought SH3 from steam

I bought SH3 from steam today and installed GWX3.
I cranked AA up to x8 and AF to x16 with supersampling on.
It is still a great looking game but I found it hard to stick with it due to the graphics of SH5 spoiling me.
But then I watched some of the SH4 GWX previews on YouTube.
This mod team needs to REALLY, REALLY get back to this.
It looks everything SH5 should be.
Such a pity they disbanded when you think what could have been.
If this was coming out, SH5 would sink with no need to surface.

SH5 is about in every way an improvement over SH4 _and_ SH3, just not at the current moment. It's a good idea to try to do something GWX-ish with SH5, but not to replace SH5 with a supermodded SH4.

Given time and some fixes from Ubisoft I have no doubt that SH5 + Whatever will eclipse GWX's amazing work with SH3, if only because of all the new tools and abilities the modders have available to them.

I hope you're right friend.
The graphics are unbelievably outstanding on SH5.
I just hope that the modders don't lose their patience with it.
I have never seen water like it in any other game.
Now I just need nvidea to release a sli profile for it so I can get a smoother framerate.

All versions released at a later time do not include any DRM.

That's nice. Maybe I should buy a brand new copy of SH3. I do know SH4 don't even need the disc inside to play it but too bad I sold it off. I don't like the gameplay compared to SH3 although the graphics were great.

Is there anyway to play SH3 at 1920x1200 resolution?

Yes, that's what I did, bought a value copy for £2.

There was a res fix, not sure if it goes up to your resolution, but it probably does. Sorry, I don't have the link handy at the moment, dig through the SH3 downloads, it's there somewhere.

Seriously people, stop with this crying about the DRM!

I can see how you would be very pissed off if you have a crap internet connection, but other than that, it really doesn't affect the game at all.

Yes you are Steve, as are the other 99% of non - SHV players. It's the 1% of DRM trolls that are whipping up a bad atmosphere. As I've said many times I respect anybodys decision to not buy the game because of the DRM.

I just wish a few (not you-the 1%) anti DRM's respected my decision to buy it and enjoy it............

So do I. I'm actually so excited about the possibilities I'm wishing I could play it.
