Hello,
I just ordered the game through subsim, and I was wondering, since the game is online-play only, will it automatically update new patches and features? I searched the forum for this and was unable to find any info. After reading some posts, I'm a little nervous about SH5. I hope it is (or will become, after the modders get hold of it) a good subsim. Also, I'm a little worried about convoy sizes. I was very happy with SH3. Thanks and looking forward to patrolling the Atlantic again. ![]() *edit* I saw on the official SH5 site that it is a dynamic campaign, but I read here that there are scripted missions? Say it ain't so! |

It will autoupdate but you have to agree to install it. The updater is the first thing that runs when you start the game.
Campaign isn't scripted but there are goals that has to be met. How you chose to reach the goals are up to you. And convois/enemy ships are not in the same place when you restart the campaign. So campaign is dynamic in that sense.
