Press the escape key while in the pen its under options.

It only works while docked and can be modified at any point in your campaign new or not.

Hit escape while you're in the sub pen, and you can change the difficulty options there.

Not only that some of the 'features' are disabled just to confuse things a little bit more.

Still its worth doing the tutorial for a few more xp.

Well forget everything you learned about SH3 and read some of the help guides stickied at the top of this forum section.

Trying to use SH3 logic in this game will only cause you frustration.

There's a simple tutorial around (in this forum) on auto-targeting which is really easy to learn and then you should be shooting straight before no time!

Sigh... here...

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164131

Now the tutorial is a little uhhh deciving as the autotargeting is not fully implamented. The targets are stationary and should be just a point and shoot thing no difficult solutions required.

no really, this game is broken... auto aim doesn't even function and manual targeting is totally broken.

No, there is plenty wrong and broken about the game but most of the targeting works fine. If you are having problems then you are not following one of the demonstrable methods for accurately conducting top attacks.

And auto-targetting is a cinch using the lining up the dots method.

If you improve your torpedo's speed, you gonna have problems, not even auto target compute the speed change...

the passive skill to boost dmg and speed of torpedos for example, get 5 points at it and a 44 knots turns out to be 52...

Try looking at that... might help, ahhh, and pre-heat torpedos reduce speed...
