Default Anyone playing SH5 on a Core 2 Duo 6700?

This is driving me nuts now, I know the min spec on the box says 6850 but i'm sure one step down shouldn't seriously affect the game. I'm currently just about to sink a Battleship in a convoy and the game keeps crashing either just after i hit it with 4 torps or even before the torps have hit anything. Any suggestions on graphics level if anyone else playing this with a lower spec CPU?

Are you sure it's the minimum or it's the recommended specs?

I got a E5200 @2.5 and the game doesn't crash, but it's really not smooth.

You know you are right, an E4400 is the min spec for this game I just can't understand why my game is so unstable.

Also got 2GB of RAM and a 8800 GTX so it's not like i'm short of power.

I'm playing on a Pentium D and not had a crash.
AA low and shadows off on a 9500gt card.

I'm playing on a E6550 with 4 gig's of memory and a HD4870 Toxic and have a average fps of 30 @ 1680x1050 with 2xAA and 4xAF. No issues what so ever.

I have a 6750, 4gb Ram and a Geforce 8800gts. Even without overclocking the game works fine - slightly poor FPS around harbours, but elsewhere ok.

without overclocking I was running with everything high - except antialyaising (off) and shadows (turned down.)

Not had a single ctd while playing the game.

See my sig....

Runs fine at 1920X1080 res. I did have to turn off shadows, light rays, and AA is in the middle (I get jaggies if I dont have it on) or else inside the sub was a slide show.

Sounds like you may be overheating (probably your GPU).

somthing is wrong but it ain't your CPU specs, sounds like gpu or drivers. Check what other processes you have running also.
If it happens in other games too, then is almost certainly a sick gfx card.
