External Zoom Mod?

I love doing whatever I have to do in the sub and then going into third person (using the , and . keys) to watch everything play out. However, the furthest zoom level in SH4 is about the distance as SH3's initial zoom level.

I'd like to get in there and really see my sub. It just stops way too far out. Is there a mod that let's you zoom in further? I understand I can use the free camera but it's a hassle starting directly above the sub and then having to fly out to the ship I want to watch as my torpedoes hit.

So does anything like this exist? Is there something I can edit in the config files?

Have you tried:
Webster's Free Camera and Scope Fix for v1.5

Fred made a similar fix, and there are others - use the Search function with:
Free Camera as the search term or Free Camera, Fred etc.
Fred's: - there are 3 to pick from depending on what Mods you are using:

They all edit cameras.dat
