Default How does the dynamic campaign work?

As it is, how does it work right now?
I watched the trailers, told me nothing lol.

The branching campaign-tree i understand, fail one campaign, you can only play one of the two next campaigns.
But is there anything remotely dynamic about it?
Will anything in the following campaigns change depending on my actions in the previous campaigns? Or was their dynamic-campaign PR just about that simple "fail campaign A, move to campaign C. win campaign A, move to campaign B" formula?

Thanks.

I'm also still having a very faint picture of how exactly campaign should progress..Returned from first mission patrol 15 min ago, where I had to patrol Eastern British Coast.A walk in the park I deeply hate when it's too easy..
