Hi Guys:
Wondering if just me when you walk around there doesn't seem to be any feedback from crew they dont speak to you, you click on them and a little menu pops up and you can only click on "your doing a good job" am I missing something ? thanks. Regards, Rich |

Not just you, the non-clickable crew does look at you when you walk by them but they dont say anything. Infact the crew is very static as is. They have their "animations" but I dont think the dev's allowed them to move from their spots unless it's to a predetermined spot like the Watch officer going from command room to his watch position which is like teleporting.
Anyway, none of my crew members will mention anything to me other than the first original "I see you brought your violin onboard." discussion topics... Kinda lame so far... I did just finish my first "patrol" though so maybe it'll change when I start my next patrol. ![]() |

Yes indeed your missing a world full........... you can also ask them how their family and wife is. Well some of them anyway, the menu's change dependant upon the situation or who your talking to. An example when on the tower you can talk to your second officer and order someone to man the deck and flak gun. Also if you use the magnifying glass in the top right of the dialog box you can assign skill points to key people to increase the skillset in that area. Neat idea but I'd say that failed in the attempt.

Don't think they got what they wanted too in time.
I think they were hoping to have it somewhat like the opening movie a little. But what he what we have I guess. Better then nothing. |

I had the same issue with Spore at it's release. Anyone who watched the Wright videos that where an hour and a half of him showcasing the game knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about, half the features that where promised never made it to the game. BF2, same story, videos show fast roping and different variants of the Blackhawk and what not, none of it was implimented into the game and never explained away. If you are going to advertise something as a feature of a game and use it to sell your product, it dang well better be in it. I took the video that was posted (and now the intro) as an example of ingame play, not purely cinematic. The game is close, but not even remotely close enough to justify purchasing it. We were told this game was a simulator when infact it's an arcade game under guise of a simulator. As I said before, I prefer not to pay 45-65$ to beta test a game for companies and find the game killing bugs for them. Especially considering most of these bugs would have been OBVIOUS in an internal Beta that was taken seriously... |
