Default Do I have to play x1?

Playing 100% realism.

First campaign mission area SW of GB.

Whenever I accelerate time I just die with no warning. ie English destroyers just kill me without dropping me out of TC to give me a chance to evade.

What gives? SH3 never worked this way?

This has happened 5 times in a row now, so much that I a afraid to engage TC anywhere near England.

Am I doomed to live out the patrols in real time

I have tried with both TC settings (the one which drops out of TC for every little sighting and the one that only drops out if it sees an enemy, except of course it doesn't).

Any ideas?

That's odd. I can assure you it is not supposed to be like that.
My TC drops to 8 when I get a sound contact, and to 1 when I get a visual contact.

i had the same problem. hit a convoy, literally, north of ireland and died. it didn't drop out of tc.

Think it's allready mentioned in the BugTrack.

TC isn't deactivated when enemy is nearby.

Guess it's because the crew dosn't detect the enemy presence because they have 0 moral again.

lol saving is not a good idea mid patrol atm due to a bug where the crew lose all there moral when load a save game. Also I have noticed that after sinking an enemy ship the moral is maxed, but if a crew member needs 1 dot of moral to man the flak or deck gun and I order the watch officer to give the order to man the deck guns it uses up that point of moral. so its just so easy to make your own crew completely useless by doing nothing more than giving them orders.

I think SH5 is going to be shelved for me for a while and see what happens in the future. It just feels like it took a step forward with immersion an 100 giant leaps backwards in simulation If I didn't have SH3 and 4 to fall back on I would be weeping like a child by now
