Default SHCommander problem question

I don't have the start at sea box ticked but, it still starts me out at sea.

Mid 1940 St. Naz is my port.

Used Commander to create career.

It's got to be something simple. I never have any trouble with this Super Mod.

Ok, which supermod are you using? GWX?
The file cfg/flotilla.cfg is where the departure points are listed. Maybe that file was somehow edited/modded/overwritten?

This is what I got for St.Nazaire 7th Flotilla there: (GWX3)

Code:
Flotilla2=904
TO2=940
NbStartingDate2=7
NbDate2=7

Thx for responding piri_reis

Yes I'm a long time user of GWX3. SH3Commander 3.2 with appropiate cfg.

I thought I had it figured out but, no luck.

I guess I don't have many options but to reinstall SH3C and cfg and start over.

Howdy Firewall,
I don't know how Commander works under the hood, but I think it looks in the same file data/Cfg/Flotillas.cfg (it's in the SH3 folder, not Commander)
Only when you use StartAtSea, it should be modifying that file to accommodate this.

Could you look at the above file, and compare your departurepoint lines to mine above? Not sure if reinstalling Cmndr will help, that's why I suggest this first
(I'm also in the 7th Flotilla/St.Naz. and have been starting in the pens)

Oops, I think I might have been very wrong on how this works
I just searched for Rubini's first StartAtSea mod and he talks how it's implemented inside the data/Campaigns/Campaign.LND file. So my Flotilla.cfg file suggestion is totally in the wrong direction.

Have you installed any mods recently that changes the Campaign.LND file? You might want to look in that direction

Sorry mate ut I just got back from 3 days in foggy Manchester....I would have suggested the CFG for GWX/SH3 Commander then a reinstallation of Commander.

I presume you have tried starting a fresh career.

You might also want to delete your SH3 folder in C\MyDocs and start afresh.

Hi Jim Glad your back safe and sound. Did all the above and still starts at sea.

Short of reinstalling GWX I'm open for just about anything.

But if I have to I can live with it.

And stop playing 20 questions on GR's thread and get back here.

The LND was only used to add another name on the map
Flotilla cfg controls the start point of the sub so would start there

Thx all I can live with it. It really doesn't effect my game enjoyment.

I just wondered why, as I like things even if I don't always use them, to work.

LOL

On a more sinister note....an idiot tried to run me off the road whilst travelling west on the M62.

I should imagine his vehicle is now being cut to bits in an effort to find suspected drugs in some police vehicle compound
