Posts per page not editable here?

On other boards I've been on which use the same software as here, this option is present in my CP, but here it's absent. Is it to cut down on the bandwidth or something-loading 15 posts every 2 minutes is better than (say) 60 posts every 8 minutes?

Where is another board with posts per page an option in the user CP? I think that's just a forum wide option.

We used to have it immediately after the most recent vBulletin upgrade but now it's gone. I maxed it out and it got very confusing when people started to refer to certain page numbers in large threads.

Hmm... I guess I never checked that option as a user myself. When will I learn not to change things here.

Ok, I have reset the posts per page setting. Max is 20 for now, check the many other threads here about server issues. If we get a month of non-performance problems, bump this thread and I will up it.
