Word is that we get all the tools the devs had at their fingers in making SH5. So yes. Gotta say though, I'm mighty interested in those dev tools that are included with the game. I may want nothing to do with the game itself, but if those tools could be used on SH3/4...

this is incorrect, all he said was we will get some modding tools that will allow us to do a lot more with the game. there was no mention of full moddability or any type of code access so dont expect much. all he said was that the same tools we will get were some of the tools that were used to create the game.

i wouldnt be surprised if its not just a UBI version of s3d

Why do you make that sound bad?

Imagine waiting 6 months for skwasjer to decide to waste his free time again to make the tool.

its not about making that sound bad, you cant take things out of context to look at one part.

ETR3(SS) said "Word is that we get all the tools the devs had at their fingers in making SH5." which is completely wrong and needed to be corrected before this was repeated in other threads and that is the context in which i spoke.

there is a BIG defference between a modding utility and "all the tools the devs had to make sh5"

im just trying to keep the info as accurate as i can

This is wrong? Well maybe it is, but this is what marean_m said:

You'll have the old tools (Mission Editor) plus some new ones, we hope you'll enjoy. That's exactly the same tools the team used to create the game in the first place.
So, what he is saying is that we're getting the mission editor and some more, meaning at least two more tools, that the devs themselves used. But yes, he didn't say ALL the tools.

You're right, I apologize. But still, one mod tool is better than no mod tool at all. And a 3d editor is a hell of a tool to make. I'd be very glad to have it from the go . I actually hope it's AS GOOD as the S3D editor.
