Hey guys I'm thinking is there a way to make sh 3 run faster i have gwx 3 expansion but it takes 15minutes or more to loading why it's working so hard is there something that I can do to run faster?

Hi U-boat99. Slow loading times are simply the result of the size of all the files. One trick that has been mentioned is to reduce the size of the scripted and random campaign files. If you will stay in the North Atlantic, for instance, you can create new .SCR and .RND files by opening them up in the mission editor and deleting all the traffic for areas you will not see (Indian Ocean, for instance). Keep a copy of the 'complete' files for future use.

GWX was designed to run on the same specs as that of SH3....what are your system specs and do you have many mods enabled?

I have the recomanded system req for silent hunter 3 and i have enabled only black sea campaing and i don;t know why is working to slow

What are your system specs? I havent had of 15 min loads since the days of pentium III and 512mb ram machines.

On a modern system with 4Gb+ ram, even with a fully modded up GWX it really shouldnt take more than 2-3 mins to load.

Have you tried the usual steps, defraging your HDD and making sure nothing is running in the background, like antivirus running a scan etc...

+ although GWX was intended to (an will) run on the same minimum spec as stock sh3 the load times will be increased substantially since there is a hell of a lot more stuff to load.
