Default Help with "cannot comply" issue?

Hello all.

I'm trying to depart Brisbane on my fourth patrol. Telegraph orders are met with, "Cannot Comply".

This is beginning of the patrol. I have a full ship's compliment of fully rested men with officers at each station for each shift, full fuel, no damage. I am not rigged for silent running and calling general quarters and then securing again has no effect. Using the nav plot to send orders doesn't work, back doesn't work, etc.

I am modded from 1.5 only with TMO 2.0. I am trying to take out a Salmon class boat; I can rearrange some files to start the patrol in the earlier S boat but the Salmon class boat won't respond.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think your "cannot comply" issue is a fault of TMO ,cause if it was i'd have alot of people screaming at me, so its probably something specific to your install. So at this point, considering how long you've been posting about this multiple times, accross two different message boards, i would suggest to completely uninstall SH4, and do a fresh install of SH4 with the UBM expansion pack, and try again.

Alrighty, I'll reinstall and try again.

And if you've played with any of the files of any mods, I would get a clean DL of those, starting of course with just TMO.

I had that issue before updating to version 1.5 occassionally. Just running the various versions of TMO. I think it is, or was a stock glitch. But haven't had it happen since I updated to 1.5 back in 08.

I think I had to exit the game, then restart it, and it would work fine.

I've had this issue before, the base was Brisbane. Couldn't solve it, not by restarting the patrol from the office, not from loading a save from the previous patrol & going on from there. IIRC I had to start a new career.
Thankfully it only happened once.
