October 1942, after completing a mission in the USS Gato i was offered a new sub so i took it and was given the USS Balao. I was even flown to the states to pick it up in San Fransico, i'm on my way to Pearl now with orders to deploy to Honshu. I was completly shocked by this one because according to the Wiki the Boat was launched in October 1942, but was not even commissioned until 4 February 1943.

Campaign and sub data is almost stock, I just made some adjustments to japanese and american harbor traffic and i am using the enviroment from TMO,the midway campaign start and the upgraded interiors by Vickers. The only sub data i changed was to create a shark class from the porpoise class and i am using TMOs .dsd files. Its a custom install, but i didn't change any service dates or anything like that or do anything major to the stock campaign so those things should all be stock.
Might be an error, but its a cool one, my tilted anchor is still at Midway, but my mission started in San Fransico! When i started the mission i went up to the bridge and i was like "Where the $%^& am i?" lol. Anyone else ever get sent stateside to pickup a boat? |

I believe with TMO to get the Baleo early you can only get it by going to San Fran. I assume somehow you got those files in there.

I've noticed this problem with the stock game myself. I don't think some of the guys at Ubi understood the difference between Launched and Commissioned, hence the date issues.

When new subs were commissioned, the officer receiving command would head stateside to where she was actually built and would actually be involved in her construction and commissioning. Usually this was an officer who was selected for command of a new boat, and had spent at least one war patrol on an active boat. They were known as PCOs, or "Prospective Commanding Officers" as part of the "PCO Pool".
Personally, I think that time should be advanced a minimum of 4 months every time the player gets a new boat to reflect the time that it would take to oversee final construction, have a commissioning party and sail the boat from the US eastern seaboard to PH.

Be a nice option, but few want to take a couple hours getting from New York, but be the quickest way to see the Statue of Liberty. That's a long trip to go there.
