Default 2009 in pictures...

A fantastic photo essay of events that occured in 2009.

Politically neutral and some awsome shots worth a browse.

(Note this is part 1 of 3 the links to 2 & 3 may be found on this page)

Some amazing pictures there. It's with the hope that I one day will provide at least one picture like that that I'm thinking about educating myself to a pro. photographer.

Id say most of these are in the right place at the right time catagory. Others are just simply striking.

Number 9 page one is nothing short of surreal.

Well my photography instructor used to say that a good photographer can find a good picture. A great photographer can make a good picture.

Then there are photographers like me who always wonder, gee maybe I should have shot that?

Dramatic shots in there. No. 27 from 1/3 is a little worrying to say the least.

Edit. This one tells a story as well.

That's how my "uncle" (mother's cousin/fætter) maintained he got World Press Photo of the Year in 1955. IMO his talent went far above that particular shot.:

Sorry, I can only inlay links, and not photos.

A supporter of defeated Iranian presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi helps evacuate an injured Iranian riot-police officer during riots in Tehran on June 13, 2009.

This my friends, is a man whom I admire with all my heart.

This photo, taken at Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center in Cameroon, Africa, shows a line of chimpanzees watching as veterinarian Sheri Speede, of Beaverton, and rescue worker Assou Francois move the body of Dorothy, a chimp who died of heart failure.
