I've been running Fighting Steel (and FSP, and Thunder at Sea) with no problems for nearly a year on an XP system with an ATI HD 4600 card. Now it suddenly doesn't work. I restored all my original drivers (video, sound) and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game(s), but now nothing happens when I try to run it. Has there been something in a recent Windows update that could have broken it?
Any ideas?? I really like this game, so this is quite a blow! |

As I understand it, FS when running on XP, should be run in windowed mode. Have you tried that?

Indeed, but the problem is that until recently, the game ran perfectly - and now it won't even open.
Weirder still, at one stage it ran, but without sound. So I relaid the sound driver - and now the game doesn't work at all. What is all this????????????????? |
