Default Balloon German Panther Tank

Possibly a last ditch attempt by the Third Reich at reactive armor plating? Actually, I was thinking it looks a bit more like the long-barreled Panzerkampfwagen IV than a Panther, but it's still fun.

Certainly a must for any junior Panzer General's birthday.

The photos were taken by German artist Hans Hemert and they prove that design, creativity and art go hand in hand. And last but not least, there’s no telling what you can do with a bunch of seemingly “normal” balloons.

Inflatable decoys are becoming more common and are of high fidelity.

But if you go with the lowest bidder.........

Actually, it did. Inflatable objects, like tanks and planes, were used by the british magician, Jasper Maskelyne.

I meant more like inflatable tanks engaging inflatable tanks I knew about the decoys, hence the pics. The whole of Southern England was littered with them in the run up to D-Day

Now if we can only get the military's of the world to fight with inflatable bullets and shells, we might be on to something.

Looks like it's still around in some quarters. I may have to trade in my RPG for a pin.

Just out of interest...
Do the modern bouncy tanks have heat signatures?

I'd imagine for them to be proper decoys they'd have a heater in the area of the engine or some kind of hot water tank or something. Otherwise it'd fail as soon as someone switched on Thermal.

Great pics though Torp, I honestly didn't realise that that kind of decoy was still going! Chinese I take it?

And Platapus, I hear you mate, wouldn't that be something?
