Disappearing task force?

Hello! Yesterday, I was playing Warship mod 3.0. I was in the southern entrence of Scapa Flow on the battleship Bismarck. My radar guy detected a task force about 20 km west from me. I decided to attack. When I got closer, I saw HMS Hood, HMS Renown, HMS Ark Royal, and several destroyers. I opened fire on the Hood. Soon, my WO spots an attacking swordfish. I manned my AA guns, and opened fire. I also mount an AA gun myself. Well, Bismarck has a crappy AAA, and the swordfish hits me with a bomb. The bomb makes minor damage, and the swordfish managed to flee. When I turn my attention back to the task force, I can't see it anywhere. The task force has disappeared! WTF? What happened?

What range were you engaging at? Chanses are if you were having a long range gun duel they probly changed course and fell out of radar and visual range.

I was about 10 km from the capital ships, but the destroyer were alot closer.

Just a wild guess: Maybe your radar was destroyed by the bomb. The game engine let's you only use the free object cam on detected units, so you simply couldn't jump to them via the keyboard.

Or where they in visible range?

Another wild guess - if the task force was inbound, the campaign file entry may have been set for them to disappear upon arrival - the end of the scripted path.
