Default One mod changed another...

I recentley found and added a DEPTH CHARGE SURFACE EFFECT mod that looked great... however, it altered my TMO DIFFERENT SMOKE mod. I read that there is a fix, but cannot find it. Does anyone know where I can find this "fix"?

I haven't heard of those two Mods but if one changes the other try installing the the Different smoke Mod after Depth charge Mod.

Normally there's a README inside the Mod folder in which you can find extra information like where/ when to install and stuff like that.

Also, if the FIX is made by the auther you might want to look in the [REL] thread and read all the way through it.

Go to 'Search' then 'advanced search', type the authers name under 'search by user name' and select 'find threads started by user' instead of 'find posts by user'.
Select the forum you want the engine to look into and press search.

Maybe someone els has the fix and can lead you to it.

if both mods include the same files then you will need to open the file from one mod and add the changes from the other modded files to it.

what happens is one mod changes the nodes for smoke while the other changes some other node so you need to take one of the files and add the changes from the other mods file so the file then contains the changes to both sets of nodes and will have both changes take affect when the mod is installed.

its called merging the files and it takes a little getting used to but isn't hard for anyone to do with a little patience and understanding of what both mods do.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a try.
