Default Quick GWX question

Okay I'm now running GWX 3 and I can see and feel the vast improvements made over stock SH3. I'm amazed by the work and dedication thats gone into the megamod, and as such would like to thank the GWX team for their time and effort in improving SH3.

On to my question. Started with the 7th flotilla from the start of the game. Did the 4 day cruise and now want to skip a couple of days to get to the start of hostilities with the Allies. Is there any way to do that other than sitting in port or killing days sailing around? Or is it better to start a career on or a couple days before hostilities break out?

Shake down allows you to get extra training for the crew. Other then that it allows to to get in position for the start of war and pick out a juicy spot.

Use SH3 Commanders 'Days in Base' option.

On the fourth day of your patrol you'll receive a radio message to return to base.

If your not already in the 1st or 2nd Flotilla, apply for a transfer to either.

Set Commander to 20 days in port between patrols.

Your next patrol should commence on 24th August allowing you plenty time to reach your appointed patrol grid prior to the commencement of hostilities, just like what happened in RL.

You'll want to watch for small groups of Irish cargo vessels as well... Soon after transferring to Lorient I nearly sank a group of four of them I had solutions set on all of them before I thought to check their flags...
