Default Adjusting default loadouts

So is there anyway to modify the 'default' torpedo loadout in SH3? I've tired Wolfie's Tweekpack, but I can't seem to make it work with GWX, and having to manually swap out torpedoes gets tedious after a while. And besides that, anytime I forget to adjust the loadout I have to either finish the patrol with 95% steam eels (Not exactly the ideal mix for 1941+) or wait another 20 minutes for the patrol to reload.

Anyways, I was just wondering if anybody knew of a way to do this. I'm pretty sure I got the tweak pack to work as I remember having a full load of falkes and zaunkonigs during my Type XXI 1939 career, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.

I had the same problem with Wolfies Tweakpack as you did, I could not get it to work in GWX. I subsequently adjusted the loadout by manually adjusting them in the Basic.cfg file. Go to your SH3 directory then Cfg folder then Basic.cfg file. Scroll down mid-page and you'll see each submarine listed and the default loadout for each year. I changed all mine to T2's by altering each torp to "2" from the default "0". Its a lot more difficult than Wolfies mod but it does work.

Cool, I'll check that out next chance I get. I'm assuming those changes are permanent, right?

Yes, once you change them and save the file it becomes permanent.

Huh, so I went to check the Basic.cfg file, and the changes I made with the tweak pack are there.

Alright, some quick backround before I go into everything: I was going to use wolfie's tweekpack to change the 1941 loadout on the Type IXB to mostly electric torpedoes. I was already in November, and when I switched from the VII to the IX it advanced the calender forward to mid-January, but when I reloaded the game the changes didn't show up. Now the weird thing is, yesterday when I loaded up my last save (The same one I had been loading to check the changes), the date was mid-December instead of January! *boggle*

Now after seeing the .cfg file with the changes, I'm going to load up SH3 again (I've set time in port to 4 weeks, and with the repairs from last patrol I should be well in to January 41) to see if things stick this time.

Just a quick note, I've got the TweekSub.exe and xref.ini files in the SH3 folder in My Documents, instead of the main game folder.
