Childhood memories

This was TV magic in my childhood, and the music was (and is) hypnotising. Found it by chance today when searching youtube for something different, and I sentimentally admit that I felt hit and blessed to hear it again after so long time, 30 years or more.

I do not believe I am the only one having memories of tis one...?

Take note that although it sounds very strongly like a composition by Ennio Morricone, it is not by him.

In the 70s, it was very popular in Germany, Italy, France. the soundtrack has a reputation to be really catchy, there are many adaptations of the tune. For example this random youtube find:
