Way to go mom
how careless can you be, you either apply these handbrakes (I would think they still have those things on them baby strollers) so if you let go those things wont move at the sudden or you don't let go at all..especially near tracks or roads for that matter.

that baby is extremly lucky

while i have to agree with this statement i also have to give her the benifit of the doubt.

One split second of inattention and bad things can happen. - nobody is perfect. and nobody can cover every scenario.

I can imagine the sheer panic in her mind when she realised what had happened.

indeed - she was obviously distressed by the event.

no audio though... i would imagine that after a moment you could hear the baby crying - assuring all that it had survived in the very least

true that, we can't predict every scenario to prevent it...
but if you stand 5 M away from a train track with your own 6 month old child in a stroller, Wouldn't you be a bit more thoughtfull like applying these brakes on the baby stroller? or say to yourself you're not letting go of the stroller.
it doesnt require much to spot the obvious risk factors.

well hopefully she learned her lesson the hard way and can praise herself extremly lucky that her kid survived with minor injuries.
