Congratz, nice System.
I wanted even before the release upgrade my graphics memory from 512MB to 1GB.

Got the 955 Black Edition myself. If you have the Zalman CPU cooler for that chip you can push it over 3.8GHz very easily. The Asus Crosshair III Formula motherboard is a great mobo for overclocking btw. The only complaint I have about the board is if you enable RAID on the SATA ports then ALL have to be used for RAID....that sucks but I gotta have my 2 X VelociRaptors in a RAID 0....I hate waiting for anything Being that your mobo uses the 790FX chipset it is probably the same way.
Mushkin is good quality memory also so OC'ing your setup should be a breeze but I'm not sure about that mobo. I love ASUS mobo's, that's all I use in my systems.
Did you download the processor driver for that 955 from AMD's website?
Do you have SAS drives? Is that why you got the highpoint controller? If you've never used WD Raptors before you really should give them a try. If they weren't so darn $$ I'd have 3 of them in a RAID 5 setup.
What power supply are you using? I got the Enermax Evo 1.2kW powering my system.
What case? I love my Antec 1200. PLENTY of room to grow in it.
Have you 3DMark06'd your setup? I score > 23,000 on 3DMark06 @ 1920 X 1200....that's insane
I was an ATI guy. Switched to nVidia and have never been happier, especially with the GTX280 OC.

Then play SH3 or SH4.

Hey, he didn't specify which Silent Hunter he's ready for.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I don't know, the machine looks kind of slow....

Nah! J/K. Your machine should be able to tackle any game with ease.

I was so excited about a "new" Wolfenstein game. I was disappointed with Return to Castle Wolfenstein due to all that para-normal crap. I was hoping that the new Wolfenstein would be less Sci-Fi and more WWII action, but alas no.

I am curious, what do you like about that game?

Time to put World in Conflict on that thing and max out the prettys!

On that kind of rig - you can almost smell the napalm!
