Shy-Sah! (Goldmember) The sky has turned black on me!!!

Man oh man, I think I really did it this time. Sooooo, while in a campaign I enabled the "merged campaign" option AND saved while only 7000meters from a convoy. Stupid, stupid, stupid. To top it off, I did not "rollback" prior to enabling the mod. So, now my games crash when I try to load them AND in the middle of the day, the sky is always black. I have tried the following: Rolling back and restarting, NOPE. Disabling the merged campaign mod and restarting, NOPE. Starting two new careers and various single missions, NOPE. I still have the black sky in the middle of the day. I am not able to attach a pic of the absolute mess I have created for some reason. I am running GWX 3.0, SH3 commander, and the latest version of JSGME. I would like to put to sea ASAP, but without the 24hr eclipse effect. Thank you in advance for any help fellow captains.....I don't care about losing the saved game, I just want the real sky back.
