captain needs help

i have lost the manual so i have to ask any captain, could you please help me with manual targeting.
i cant hit a barn door from about 2 metres, and cant figure out what i am doing wrong.
help please

but there is only american subs, and no uboat stuff

And the American targeting tutorials... since I use my WO to setup the shots I can be no help with the details of manual targeting.

Best I know there is not a manual targeting tutorial for the Uboat side... or at least I have not found it yet.

mainly my problem is ranging a shot.
i dont understand, does the double image pull down to the mast heads or the funnels. and what is the green line, is this what goes down to the mast heads?

You pull the image down so that the line (and the waterline of the ship) are barely touching the tallest mast.
