Default Atlantic Convoys: TV documentary avliable on 40d

Not sure who else in the Uk has being following the 'Atlantic Convoys' documentuary about the Uboats, it showwing on sundays at 7pm

Did not know that Uboats were sent up St Laurance river in Canada to attack ships as they lef for Britain (Post operation Drumbeat)

I too did not know about the attacks in the Lawrence River. Makes sense, as like said the U-boats would just wait for ships to come to them, and not them hunting ships.

Cant beleive i missed these, never usually look at c4, its usually just showing big brother!!

Watched first 2 so far...... not going to be getting much work done today then

Hey Zilch, try this link and copy and paste the 4OD link in the bottom of the page. It will route you through a UK proxy server so 4OD will think you're in the UK. I can't guarantee it'll work but I used to use the same method for watching certain NBC stuff in the US.

EDIT: Scrap that, using proxy the 4OD site can't detect your javascript or flash so won't run. Ah well, sorry.

is it just me or is that a real type 7 they are filming on the open seas?

thought it looked too good to be computer imaging.

is there a type 7 that is seaworthy for things like this documentary??

Nah, its that odd creation made for the movie U-571, in the film its supposed to be an american s-class mocked up to look like a type 7. In reality i think they built it from scratch as it would have been criminal to ruin a real s-class sub. Interiors were those used in the movie too.
