I've tried figuring out how to do this in game but I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's possible. I just want the game to be in a full maximized window but NOT borderless. Like how it would be with a maximized browser window or something like that.
I'd like to be able to click on things on my taskbar and do other things without alt tabbing, and alt tabbing tends to make the game slow down sometimes for me. Is this possible? I've tried unticking `fullscreen` and making it the highest resolution, but it just seems like it's still fullscreen this way. Thanks. |

SH4 is not really a "Windows" proggy, so it will usually not have a visible border when you attempt to 'window' it. You would have to set your game display resolution to be smaller than the computer's display resolution. If you are using a 1920x1080 display, you could choose 1600x900 and 'window' that. Just be certain that you have Windows so very unhelpful "scaling" turned off, else it will fill your 1920x1080 display with an enlarged, pixelated 1600x900 of the game... I do not think you will be happy with the way that looks though... In reality, SH4 is not a Windows-compliant app, and does not take kindly to swapping out to the desktop. You can minimize issues sometimes (computer dependent) by pausing the game, and then using the <Windows> key to get to the desktop. You will almost assuredly encounter either graphics or audio glitches though - maybe both - and have to Save, exit, re-start, then load the Save, to recover... If you have a 2nd computer, it is best to access with that, or use a tablet or your cell fone, and try Sub Buddy before it is obsolesced...
