Default Strange UBoat Type in Youtube movie

Does anyone know what type of U Boat this is? It looks like a VIIC with quite a few modifications... Very weird looking.. It shows up in the movie at about 1:40 min.

Just thought i'd share,
Kevin

methinks thats an italian boat, cause otherwise I'm afraid to say thats a fleet boat... which its not.

look at the net cutter, thats way off of the german's usual cutter looks, i saw that once, on an ITALIAN sub

EDIT: also, look at 1.56, note the wave splitter forward of the deck gun on the type VII, interesting footage though

That's the U-A. Originally built (as the Batiray) for the Turkish Navy but not delivered and conscripted into the KM.

A modified type IX from what I've just read online, she didn't have an overly impressive career but survived to be scuttled on the 3rd of may 1945.

Oops, look like I put the wrong name. At least I was on the right track with the UA part. Pictures 2-3 in the second link are of the Optimist/UA/Batiray.
